Last updated: 12 May 2026
These Terms of Service apply to the use of this website and to purchases made from Thrift Butik Ltd through www.thriftbutik.co.uk
By using our website or placing an order with us, you agree to these Terms of Service. Please read them carefully before placing an order.

Throughout these terms, “we”, “us” and “our” refer to Thrift Butik Ltd. “You” and “your” refer to the customer, buyer or website user.
2. About our business
Thrift Butik Ltd is a UK-based retail and wholesale business specialising in customer-returned stock, liquidated stock, refurbished goods, clearance products, joblots and wholesale lots.
Our stock may include brand-new items, customer returns, refurbished items, ex-display items, open-box items, used items, damaged packaging stock, incomplete items, and mixed wholesale lots. The condition of each item or lot will be described as clearly as possible in the product listing.
3. Retail and wholesale purchases
We sell both retail products and wholesale/trade-style stock.
Retail items are individual products sold for normal consumer use. These are covered by our retail returns and warranty terms, unless the product listing clearly states otherwise.
Wholesale stock, pallets, joblots, clearance lots, mixed lots and bulk lots are intended mainly for trade buyers, resellers and customers who understand the nature of customer-returned and liquidated stock. However, we do not always request or verify business information before accepting an order. Where a product is clearly advertised as wholesale, trade, pallet, joblot, clearance, mixed stock, untested, spares/repairs or sold as seen, the wholesale terms will apply because of the type of goods being purchased, regardless of whether the buyer is purchasing for business, resale, personal use or any other purpose.
Wholesale lots may be untested, mixed condition, incomplete, damaged, missing packaging, missing parts, or contain items with unknown faults unless stated otherwise.
Where a product listing, invoice, collection note or written agreement describes an item as wholesale, trade, pallet, joblot, clearance lot, mixed lot, untested, spares/repairs or sold as seen, those specific terms will apply in addition to these Terms of Service.
Nothing in these terms affects any rights that cannot legally be excluded.
4. Product descriptions and condition
We make reasonable efforts to describe our products accurately, including known faults, missing parts, signs of use, packaging damage or other relevant details.
Due to the nature of customer returns and liquidated stock, some items may show signs of storage, handling, previous delivery, damaged packaging, opened packaging, missing instructions, minor cosmetic marks or other imperfections.
Product images form part of the description. Where a listing is for a multiple-quantity item, photos may show a representative example and the exact packaging condition may vary slightly between units.
For wholesale lots, pallets and joblots, photos and descriptions are usually for guidance only unless specifically stated. Contents, quantities, condition, completeness and resale value may vary.
For wholesale lots, the value of the lot is based on the lot as a whole, not on any guaranteed value, condition or resale outcome of individual items within the lot.
5. Prices and payment
All prices are shown in pounds sterling GBP.
Thrift Butik Ltd is not currently VAT registered. VAT is not charged separately and VAT invoices are not provided unless this changes in the future.
We reserve the right to change prices at any time. Any change in price will not affect an order that has already been accepted.
Payment must be made at checkout using one of the payment methods offered on our website. Orders are not confirmed until payment has been successfully received.
6. Order acceptance
After you place an order, you may receive an order confirmation email. This confirms that we have received your order, but it does not guarantee that the order has been accepted.
We reserve the right to cancel or refuse an order where:
- the item is no longer available;
- there has been a pricing or listing error;
- there has been a stock or inventory error;
- the delivery address is unsuitable or outside our delivery area;
- we are unable to deliver the item safely or economically;
- we suspect fraud, misuse or abuse of our website;
- the order cannot be fulfilled for any other reasonable reason.
If we cancel an order after payment has been made, we will refund the amount paid for the cancelled item.
7. Delivery
Delivery options, costs and estimated delivery times are shown at checkout where available.
We aim to dispatch orders as quickly as possible, but delivery times are estimates and are not guaranteed unless specifically stated.
Orders are dispatched from the United Kingdom. We currently focus on UK delivery. If delivery to your area is not available through our checkout, please contact us before ordering.
Some large, heavy, fragile or unusual items may require a specialist courier, collection only, or a delivery quote before purchase. This will normally be stated in the product listing.
Where an item is returned to us because of an incorrect address, failed delivery, refusal of delivery, or failure to collect from a courier collection point, additional delivery charges may apply before the item can be re-sent.
8. Collection by appointment
Where collection is offered, collection is by appointment only from our premises.
Please do not visit without arranging a collection slot first. We are not a traditional walk-in retail shop and may not be able to serve customers without an appointment.
You may be asked to provide proof of order, ID, or collection confirmation before goods are released.
For large wholesale lots, pallets or joblots, the buyer is responsible for ensuring they have suitable transport, loading arrangements and assistance unless otherwise agreed in writing.
9. Returns, cancellations and refunds
Retail customers may request a return within 60 days of receiving their order, unless the product listing states otherwise or a legal exemption applies.
This 60-day return period is offered in addition to your statutory rights. Under UK distance-selling rules, most online retail customers also have a legal right to cancel an order within 14 days of receiving the goods. After notifying us of cancellation, customers usually have another 14 days to return the goods.
Returned items should be sent back in the same condition as supplied, with all included parts, accessories and packaging where reasonably possible.
For change-of-mind returns, the item must be returned in the same condition it was supplied in and should be suitable for resale. If an item has been used, damaged, altered, tampered with, had seals removed, is missing parts, or is returned in a condition different from how it was supplied, we may make a fair deduction from the refund to reflect any loss in value, where permitted by law.
Where an item is faulty, damaged, not as described, or develops a fault within the applicable warranty period, we will assess the issue and, where appropriate, offer a repair, replacement, partial refund or full refund in line with UK consumer law and our Refund Policy.
Return instructions will be provided once you contact us. Refunds are normally processed after the returned item has been received and inspected.
Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights.
10. Wholesale, pallet and joblot returns
Wholesale lots, pallets, joblots, mixed lots, clearance lots and trade-style purchases are sold on the basis described in the relevant listing.
Unless stated otherwise, wholesale and joblot stock is sold as mixed customer-returned or liquidated stock and may be untested, incomplete, damaged, faulty, missing parts, missing packaging, or unsuitable for normal retail resale without checking, repair, cleaning or grading.
Wholesale buyers are expected to inspect the listing carefully, review all photos and descriptions, and ask any questions before purchasing. Where viewings are offered, buyers are encouraged to inspect lots in person before purchase.
Due to the nature of wholesale stock, pallets, joblots, mixed lots, clearance lots and sold-as-seen stock are generally sold without a standard retail warranty and without a right to return, unless the listing specifically states otherwise.
Returns are not accepted for wholesale lots, pallets, joblots, mixed lots or sold-as-seen stock simply because the buyer is unhappy with the condition, resale value, contents, profit margin, missing packaging, mixed quality, or because some items require testing, cleaning, repair or disposal. These risks are part of buying wholesale customer-returned and liquidated stock.
A return or remedy may only be considered where the goods are significantly not as described, the wrong lot has been supplied, or where rights apply that cannot legally be excluded.
Because we do not always verify whether a buyer is purchasing as a business or individual, the wholesale terms apply based on how the goods are advertised and sold. If a listing is clearly described as wholesale, trade, pallet, joblot, clearance, mixed stock, untested, spares/repairs or sold as seen, the buyer accepts the additional risks and limitations attached to that type of stock before placing the order.
Nothing in these terms affects any rights that cannot legally be excluded.
11. Warranty
Retail items are supplied with a 60-day warranty unless otherwise stated in the product description.
This warranty covers functional faults that occur during normal use and were not present or disclosed at the time of sale. If a fault develops within this period, we will assess the issue and, where appropriate, offer a repair, replacement, partial refund or full refund in line with UK consumer law.
The warranty does not cover accidental damage, misuse, neglect, unauthorised repairs, incorrect installation, normal wear and tear, consumable parts, batteries with naturally reduced capacity, software issues caused by updates or user-installed applications, or faults caused after delivery.
Some items may be sold with disclosed faults, missing parts, cosmetic marks or limitations. Where a fault, limitation or condition issue is clearly stated in the listing, it will not be treated as a new fault for warranty purposes.
Wholesale lots, pallets, joblots, untested items, spares/repairs items and trade clearance stock do not come with a standard retail warranty unless expressly stated in writing.
12. Accuracy of information
We try to keep website information accurate and up to date. However, errors may occasionally occur, including pricing mistakes, stock errors, image errors, specification errors or description errors.
We reserve the right to correct errors and update information at any time. If an error affects an order you have already placed, we will contact you where appropriate and give you the option to proceed, amend or cancel the order.
13. Use of the website
You agree not to misuse our website, interfere with its normal operation, attempt unauthorised access, upload malicious code, scrape data without permission, or use the website for unlawful purposes.
We may restrict or block access to the website where we reasonably believe misuse, fraud, abuse or unlawful activity has occurred.
14. Discount codes and promotions
Discount codes, offers and promotions may be changed, withdrawn or refused at any time.
Discounts cannot normally be used together unless the offer specifically allows it. Discount codes may be restricted to certain products, collections, order values or customer groups.
We reserve the right to cancel or refuse orders where a discount code has been used incorrectly, fraudulently or outside the intended terms of the offer.
15. Third-party links
Our website may contain links to third-party websites, including payment providers, courier tracking pages, social media platforms, marketplaces or review pages.
We are not responsible for the content, policies or practices of third-party websites.
16. Privacy and personal information
Your personal information is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
By using our website or placing an order, you agree that we may collect and process your information for purposes such as order fulfilment, customer service, payment processing, delivery, returns, fraud prevention and legal compliance.
17. Limitation of liability
We are responsible for losses you suffer that are a foreseeable result of our breach of these terms or our negligence.
We are not responsible for business losses suffered by retail consumers, including loss of profit, loss of business, business interruption or loss of business opportunity.
For trade, wholesale or business purchases, our liability is limited to the amount paid for the relevant goods, unless liability cannot legally be limited or excluded.
Nothing in these terms limits or excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation, breach of statutory rights, or any other liability that cannot legally be excluded.
18. Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. The version published on our website at the time of your order will apply to that order.
19. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
If you are a consumer, you may have the right to bring proceedings in your local UK jurisdiction. If you are a business or trade customer, disputes will be subject to the courts of England and Wales unless otherwise agreed in writing.
